The Arizona Technology Council aims to inform and educate policymakers on issues that affect the sustainability and growth of the Arizona technology sector and require changes in legislation and policies for continual sustenance. The advocacy covers all legislative teams, from the state’s legislative committees to the United States Congress. In the operating policy, the mandates include improving the business environment for technology-based firms and allocating risk funds and support for entrepreneurs.

Also, the council implements measures to attract and retain a diverse talent pool, supporting inclusivity and supporting businesses in economic hurdles such as recessions and disaster-based losses. The council also holds various events and conferences to encourage networking and updates, such as the Southern Arizona Tech and Business Expo.

The business expo, held annually, attracts over 400 businesses, industry experts, and tech leaders for an exhibition of Southern Arizona tech industries. The industries include automation, transport, defense, logistics, and space exploration. Besides honoring notable contributions to the tech industry, the expo enables different businesses to explore prospects, tentative collaboration areas, and suppliers.
