Before studying law at Cornell University, Rodney Malpert earned an MA at the same university. He is a partner with Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, a business immigration law firm. He is the author of two annually updated legal treatises, including, “Business Immigration Law: Forms and Filings.” Rodney Malpert appeared in the 2010–2017 editions of Who’s Who Legal. He is also active in immigration reform proposals to Congress and other agencies, and is a former member of the board of directors of the American Council on International Personnel (ACIP).

ACIP comprises more than 250 institutional and corporate members interested in the movement of professional personnel across national borders. Since 1972, ACIP has been a highly effective and visible leader on issues related to international personnel mobility.

ACIP advocates on behalf of current members, provides immigration policy compliance technical assistance, and collaborates with leading employers to support international interns and trainees. The council also provides education and networking on the employment-based global immigration of educated professionals.
