About the 2019 Council for Global Immigration Symposium

A leading business-immigration lawyer, Rodney Malpert joined law firm Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy in 2008. In addition to serving as editor of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s annual conference book, Rodney Malpert contributes to professional organizations including the Council for Global Immigration.

A strategic affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Council for Global Immigration is a nonprofit trade association that promotes sensible immigration policies aimed at job growth and innovation. In addition to publishing resources for employers, the organization hosts the annual Council for Global Immigration Symposium, a four-day event that invites immigration professionals to gather and engage in meaningful conversations about current immigration topics.

The 2019 event, held on November 3–6 in Washington, D.C. featured United States government officials and global immigration experts speaking on the quickly-shifting area of immigration policy. Attendees included immigration lawyers as well as human resources professionals who work in the area of employment-based immigration.
